CRICKET

Srilanka vs Australia First ODI match | Pallekele Stadium 2011

Australia came back strong in the one day international and won the first ODI against Srilanka at pallekele cricket stadium. Srilanka won the toss and elected bat first against Australia in the first one day international.

Srilanka were all out for 191 runs and none of the Srilankan batsman scored a half century in the first ODI match.

Mitchell Johnson picked up 6 wickets for Australia and he was awarded with man of the match at pallekele cricket stadium. Shane Watson gave good start to the chase and scored 69 runs from just 51 balls with 6 sixes and 5 fours.

In the middle order Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke got off to a good start and each of them  scored half century.

Australia won the first one day international match at pallekele cricket stadium and lead the 5 match series by 1-0.
