Northamptonshire v Indians Practice Match | Day 1 | Northampton 2011

India after a heavy loss in the first two test matches against England at Lords and Trent Bridge are looking forward to bounce back in the third test match at Birmingham.  
Indians are now playing a practice match with Northamptonshire at Country ground , Northampton. 

India won the toss and elected to bat first on day 1 of the practice match. Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambir who returned to the squad after some injury problems where not up to their mark.

Virender Sehawag was out for just 8 runs from 25 balls. Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambir will open the batting for India in the third test match against England at Birmingham. 

On day 1 of the practice match Abinav Mukund scored his century and was retired hurt after hanging on in the field for a long time. Amit Mishra in the lower order scored 48 runs and is still going strong building a good partnership with Sreesanth.

India made 327 for fall of 7 wickets on day 1 of the practice match at Country ground , Northampton.
