India vs England Second Test 2011 | Day 1 Trent Bridge

India vs England second test match started today at Trent Bridge , Nottingham. India who won the toss once again elected to bowl first. On winning the toss Dhoni made his decision to bowl first having three fast bowlers and one spin bowler options.

Indian bowlers bowled well in the first innings at Trent Bridge to restrict England to 221 runs for loss of all wickets.
Praveen Kumar , Ishant Sharma and Sreesanth each picked up 3 wickets in short time of the first innings at Trent Bridge. England lost all wickets soon after the tea break. On the lower order Stuart Broad showed his heroics to score quick half century. Stuart Broad is the highest scorer of the day for England with 64 runs from 66 balls.

India started to bat after the tea break and lost wicket of Abinav Mukund in the very first ball by James Anderson. Rahul Dravid , the great wall of India and VVS Laxman are looking solid  in defence on the crease. India were 24 for 1 wicket at stumps at the end of day 1 of the second test match at Trent Bridge.
