Final session of day 4 started of with aggressive batting from the two England Batsman. Matt Prior and Stuart Broad were looking to make quick runs as much as possible to get to healthy lead at end of day 4 final session.
Matt Prior scored his century from just 120 balls at a good strike rate of 85.83 at end of day 4 session in the historical match.
England declared after Matt Prior get to his century and England were 269 for 6 wickets at end of day 4. India started to bat and lost its first wicket of left hand batsman Abinav Mukund. Since Gambir was injured in his left hand on the field he didnt open with Abinav Mukund.
England set India a very high target of 458 runs to win the first test match at lord's cricket stadium.The wall of India Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman made 50 runs partnership in their run chase at end of day 4. India scored 80 runs for 1 wicket lose at stumps.
