CRICKET

India vs England First Test 2011 , Day 2

England started their second day play and were looking patient in getting runs for their team. Kevin Pietersen made a brilliant double century in the historical 2000th match. This time he scored slowly leaving many balls to the keeper. 
But on the other side Praveen Kumar was picking up the wickets continuously to put the batting side under pressure. Praveen Kumar picked up 5 wickets at the end of the innings.


Kevin Pitersen double century was outshined by Praveen Kumar's 5 wicket haul. England made 474 for 8 wickets and declared to force India to bat after tea.

England bowlers tried to pick up opening wickets with new ball but both the Indian openers were good in defensive play. 

India made 17-0 from 6 overs. Abinav Mukund replaces opening batsman Virender Sehwag due to Sehwag injury problem.
