Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat first at Shere Bangla National stadium in Mirpur. Mushfiqur Rahim scored high for Bangladesh in the middle order and was not out for 81 runs from 80 balls which includes 9 fours and a six. Bangladesh were restricted to a total of 229 runs for 7 wickets from 50 overs.
